In a gruesome incident, a professor of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Indore was found dead at her residence in the campus early on Friday. Neighbours found the doors of Amrita opened till 8 a.m. and did see her leave the house early for work as usual.
"Amrita Panchauli, 32, was found lying in a pool of blood at her residence in the institute campus. She appears to have been stabbed with a knife or some sharp-edged weapon," an official at the Indore police control room said. The campus has been sealed under heavy police force.
Amrita, who is from Udaipur in Rajasthan, was seen as lately as last Thursday night by a neighbour. she has been working at IIM-Indore for past one and a half years.
