IIM Indore Professor Amrita Panchauli Murdered

IM Indore professor Amrita Panchauli (32 yrs old) was found dead at her residence inside the IIM Campus. Reportedly, she was stabbed with a knife or another sharp weapon.

This event just in days after a suspension notice for 6 IIM students was cancelled, is shocking and it gives a real bad impression of IIM Indore to the outside world.

Earlier today (Friday 18th), Police was informed by Amrita's neighbors after they saw the doors closed till 8 am. Generally the professor used to leave home early for office. Last reported sight of Professor Amrita was at 8:30 PM on thursday night. Amrita belonged to Udaipur Rajasthan and was working at IIM-I for one and half years.

The bigger question now for investigators is how, and who could have gotten into such high security area to commit a disastrous crime like this and above all, Why would someone kill professor so brutaly?

Indore Police has sealed IIM campus and investigating the murder. IIM Indore Professor Amrita Pancholi was teaching Organizational Behavior and HRM at the institute. She worked with many other prominent academic institutes of the country before joining IIM. She taught at BITS, Pilani and Mody Institute of Technology and Science, Lakshmangarh.
