After cooking up a crackling chemistry with Aamir Khan in the blockbuster “3 Idiots”, actress Kareena Kapoor says she wants to team up with him once again.
“I want to work with Aamir, but he is not doing any film for a year,” Kareena lamented.
She is very keen that her actor boyfriend Saif Ali Khan should work with “3 Idiots” director Rajkumar Hirani.
“I always tell him (Saif) that he should work with Raju Hirani,” she added.
Kareena will soon be seen in Karan Johar’s “We Are Family” alongside Kajol and Arjun Rampal. The film releases Friday.
The much waited anticipated flick of the year ‘Khaleja’ starring Mahesh Babu in the lead is going to make the fans of Mahesh to wait for some more days. Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay's 50th film Sura Music Review
Vijay's 50th movie Sura is directed by S.P. Rajkumar and produced by Sangili Murgan with music is by Mani Sharma. In comparison to Vijay's previous movie Vettaikaran that had some real heavy rhythms and techno music, Sura's music is relatively milder. Easy tunes, simple beats and even simpler lyrics constitute each number.
'Siragadikum Nilavu' sung by Karthik and Reeta is essentially a melody layered with some quick beats. The saxophone in the interlude is a nice relief between the stanzas. Pieces of the composition seem inspired from older numbers. Nevertheless, the track is a pleasant one that grows on you.
'Thanjavoor Jillakari' starts off on a very promising and interesting note with some rather quaint humming and catchy beats that have you nodding right away. And when the song begins in the voices of Hemachandra and Saindhavi, it's as impressive as the fun opening. The English lyrics however dampen the charm. But we'll let it pass, because the rest of the number has a nice sensual and mischievous touch to it, in terms of lyrics, vocals and instrumentation that command repeat hearing!
'Vettri Kodi Yaethu' has some rather inspirational lyrics and since the attention is more to the lyrics, the tune is simple. Mani Sharma has inserted some quick beats in the interludes. An interesting relief from the basic rhythm is the clapping, which adds a fun element to the number. Ranjith and Mukesh are the voices behind the song.
'Thamizhan Veera Thamizhan' is in many ways similar to 'Vettri Kodi Yaethu'. It follows the same music and lyric structure. The song might possibly be Vijay's opening song – the lyrics sing the praise of a single man who is all powerful and ever right. Rahul Nambiyar's powerful rendition reinforces the unparalleled strength of the protagonist.
'Vanga Kadal Ellai' continues the trend of the short lines of rhyming lyrics that can be seen in all the songs of the album. But the fast kuthu beats immediately conjure up the image of Vijay putting in some super-tough steps and amazing us all once more! A typical kuthu song to impress the fans of the mass man. The voices of Naveen and Malathi Lakshman add zing to this pacey number.

Prabhas latest film ‘Darling’ is gearing up for its release on April 23rd.Kajal Agarwal is playing the female lead in the film. The film also casts Shraddha Das and Tamil actor Prabhu in crucial roles. The movie has received clean ‘U’ certificate and now the film is releasing with a whopping number of 335 prints out of which 100 are digital prints and the remaining being celluloid prints. This seems to be the biggest release for Prabhas so far.
Darling is being directed by Karunakaran and is being produced by Bogavalli Prasad under the banner Sri Venkateshwara Cine Chitra. G V Prakash had scored the music for Darling. It has art by Ashok, dialogues by Swamy and camera by Andrews. The film has been shot in exotic places of Switzerland, Araku and Hyderabad.

Prabhas is called Prabha for whatever reason in Darling and he is in love with Nandini (Kajal). Shraddha Das proposes and Prabhas rejects, her father wants to kill him because she attempts suicide. The hero who believes in showing brain and brawn only when necessary conjures up an 'interesting' story. The heroine is not lagging behind, she is on her own trip as per the demands of the script.
While the film breaks for interval, you tend to take the hero's long narration of his dream as some radical cinematic experiment but he does a ditto with Kajal as she says she was pretending not to be in love with the hero. The director was clearly in a hurry, he put all the plots together in the first half of the film leaving nothing for you to guess or think in the latter half of the story.
Prabhas spends more time, enthusiasm narrating a story like a director but in the last one and a half hour his energy, enthusiasm flies out making him look like a wimp, forlorn and lost. Prabhas Darling you are capable of doing better stuff than jumping on earthern pots and playing second fiddle. The only saving grace is Srinivasa Reddy and company.
Mukesh Rishi doubles up as a villain and a comedian. He and his daughter zoom in and zoom out when ever the auteur remembers them. And Switzerland? Has it been created for Nandini or has Nandini been created for the place? She has maintained her figure, her work is good and she hogs more attention than Prabhas in this movie. The rest of the cast look superficial the lines hollow despite the writer stressing it's a film on friendship.
Shraddha Das gets into another clichéd role of a woman suffering from unrequited love. Prabhu and Tulasi did little to their roles but did complement themselves well. Ahuti looked different with a straightened version of his hair and Chandramohan chipped in with his dramatics. At one stage the film appears to be salvaged but the last 150 mts gets tiring.
The heat is intolerable right, but all one wanted was a nice cool love story from Karunakaran, not a frost bite after watching the Tank Bund and Charminar surrounded with ice and snow. There are no light-hearted stories in Telugu running currently in theatres, this might in their absence can pull a motley crowd but if you do go with some expectations, there's nothing but just a below average flick

Allu Arjun making news with 'Varudu’ by director Gunasekhar, making buzz by keeping the identity of the heroine of the movie a secret. The rumor is that the leading lady of the movie happens to be a girl from Bollywood, the girl in the movie is Bhanu Mehra, who descends from Bollywood and has done a cameo in the Bollywood movie “Bachna Ae Haseeno”. Bhanu Mehra, although new to the world of stardom, has quite a few modeling assignments under her belt. Bhanu Mehra has taken lessons in acting and is eagerly waiting for her movie to hit the theaters. The other cast of the movie includes Asish Vidyarthi, Sayaji Shinde, Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, Ahuti Prasad, Brahmanandam. RD Rajasekhar is in the charge of all camera works, while director Gunasekhar himself has write the script for the movie. "Twilight" stars Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart introduced an homage to horror films, lamenting that no horror films had received an Oscar since 1973's "The Exorcist." But what about the 1991 best picture winner, "Silence of the Lambs"? It's not like they overlooked it: Dr. Hannibal Lecter -- one of the true monsters of modern horror films -- was even included in the clip package.
Meanwhile, the Oscar for sound editing went to Paul N.J. Ottosson for "The Hurt Locker." Ottosson had barely left the stage when he was called back to receive the sound mixing award for the war drama with Ray Beckett. "The Hurt Locker" has won the most statuettes, with three.
Another movie performing well: "Precious: Based on the Novel 'Push' by Sapphire." Mo'Nique, considered the shoo-in for an Oscar for supporting actress as the vile, abusive mother of a pregnant teen in the harrowing drama took home the honor as expected. The comic talk-show host, who opted out of doing extensive campaigning this awards season, thanked the academy and said it proves that a win "can be about the performance and not the politics."
Moments earlier, an emotional Geoffrey Fletcher won for adapted screenplay for "Precious." Holding back the tears, Fletcher said: "I don't know what to say. This is for everybody who works on a dream every day." His win was a surprise: Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner were the favorites for "Up in the Air."
Until that moment, the 82nd annual Academy Awards felt like it was all going according to the oddsmakers.
The trophy for original song went to Ryan Bingham and T Bone Burnett for "The Weary Kind (Theme from Crazy Heart)." The award for animated feature film went to "Up," which is also nominated for best film. And as expected, Austrian actor Christoph Waltz danced away with supporting actor for playing a brutal Nazi Jew hunter in "Inglourious Basterds." All three have dominated this awards season, winning practically every available honor.
Mark Boal won original screenplay for the war drama "The Hurt Locker." It was followed by a tribute to the late, great teen-angst writer-director John Hughes, who died unexpectedly last year. Several of the Hughes veterans gathered on stage in his memory, including Ally Sheedy, Molly Ringwald, Matthew Broderick and Judd Nelson.
Awards in the short-film categories were "Logorama" for animated, "Music by Prudence" for documentary and "The New Tenants" for live action. The honor for costume design went to Sandy Powell for "The Young Victoria." Art direction went to Rick Carter and Robert Stromberg and set decorator Kim Sinclair for "Avatar," which also won a cinematography trophy for Mauro Fiore.
Ben Stiller, decked out in "Avatar" Navi blue, complete with tail and braid, presented the best makeup award to "Star Trek."
The show kicked off with Neil Patrick Harris, who got rave reviews for hosting the Tonys and the Emmys last year, performing a musical number -- "No One Wants to Do It Alone." It was a reference to the hosts of the show, the wild and crazy Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin, or, as Harris called them, "the biggest pair since Dolly Parton."
And with that, the hosts came down from the heavens at the Kodak Theatre, holding hands.
The witty, salty banter that ensued included putting on 3-D glasses to spot "Avatar" director James Cameron in the audience and joking that Meryl Streep, with whom the two starred in "It's Complicated," is the most nominated performer in academy history. Or, as Martin said, the performer with the most losses. (Then they joked about having a threesome with Streep on the set.)
For the first time in 66 years, the academy has expanded the number of best picture nominees from five to 10, and the result is an eclectic mixture of blockbusters such as "Avatar' and indies such as "The Hurt Locker" and "An Education."
And speaking of the best picture winner -- will it be "The Hurt Locker," which has gained momentum in the past few months despite the recent disclosure that one of the producer's sent e-mails out asking academy members to vote for the film, or the highest-grossing movie to date, "Avatar," which won the Golden Globe for best drama film?
With those films battling for the first prize, perhaps one of the other eight nominees such as "Inglourious Basterds" will slip in to win the top Oscar.
The academy may also make history -- if Kathryn Bigelow receives the director Oscar for "The Hurt Locker," she'll be the first woman to win the honor.
Adding to the fun for Oscar watchers: Bigelow used to be married to Cameron. But there is no rivalry – Cameron has been a vocal supporter of Bigelow's film.
