"Times Square and all the Broadway shows are open for business and we are not going to let this stop us from living our lives and carrying on as before. The NYPD bomb squad did a great job dismantling the device, responding immediately and effectively and keeping all of us in Times Square safe. I have full faith and confidence that the NYPD will do all in their power to find who is responsible and keep us safe. I want to thank the Times Square vendor who responded so quickly by alerting the mounted cop as soon as he saw the car emitting smoke. As this vendor did, we should all do our part following the Mayor's advice of "If you see something, say something" as we continue with our normal lives on this gorgeous spring day." - Tim Tompkins, President of Times Square Alliance.
