IITTM 2010, First IITTM Center in South India...
IITTM, Indian Institute of Tourism & Travel Management has announced to set up its maiden center in Southern India at Nellore in Andhra Pradesh. IITTM has it's headquarter in the Gwalior city of Madhya Pradesh. The other centers of IITTM are located in Bhubaneswar, New Delhi and Goa. The new center in Andhra Pradesh is said to offer post-graduate programmes, PGDM (Tourism and Leisure) Offered at New Delhi and Nellore from the next academic session. Admission is being offered for 93 seats at New Delhi. Admission is likely to be offered to 60 seats at the proposed new center at Nellore, if necessary permissions are obtained. The decision to open IITTM center in Andhra Pradesh is taken with a view to impart tourism-education among the interested candidates of Southern India. more info in:www.iittm.org/AdmissionBulletin2010. The A.P government has allotted ten acres of land for starting the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) at Venkatachalam village in the district. The IITTM Gwalior is planning to start PG diploma in travel and tourism management in a rented building from this academic year. The government has sanctioned Rs.17 crore for the IITTM in the district, which is the first of its kind in the region.
