Rajinikanth will be celebrating his 60th birthday tomorrow. His real name is 
Shivaji Rao Gaekwad. He was born on 12 December 1949. Apart from acting, Rajinikanth has also worked as a screenwriter, film producer, and a playback singer.
Rajinikanth was named as one of the influential persons in South Asia by Asiaweek. He won a Filmfare Best Tamil Actor Award for Nallavanuku Nallavan in 1984 and Muthu in 1994 respectively. He was also honoured with the Padma Bhushan award.
He married Latha Rangachari, on 26 February 1981, at the age of 31 in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh and the couple has two daughters named Aishwarya Rajinikanth and Soundarya Rajinikanth.
