Geli Ekvees Varsha ( In the Last 21 Years) |

Pune does it once again with yet another mind boggling performance at Prithvi theatres. One and a half hours, with no space for boredom or distraction. Right from the first minute the Marathi grips you and takes you through the life of a young individual. With brilliant performances and talented story tellers, this play is a must watch for all.
“When I heard the script of ‘Geli Ekvees Varsha,’ I realized that I am going through the same phrase that the protagonist in the play is going through. I saw it as an opportunity to analyse my own thought process and do something which I could completely relate to. This was my main motivation for directing this play.”
Alok Rajwade, Director ‘Geli Ekvees Varsha, Pune

Transforming a brilliant script written by Dharmakriti Sumant, into a play with an outstanding performance by the ‘sutradhar’ Amey Wagh who plays the role of Tarun, any troubled teenager caught in the strangles of life and society.

There is a sense of randomness in this play which is also present in all our lives, in which both the logical as well as illogical elements are present and we have no option to chose between the realistic and the unrealistic but to live with it. The play becomes personal and dark as it progresses in the same manner as our thoughts advance.
Alok Rajwade, the young and super-talented director said, “The most fascinating part of the whole process was working with all the random units and trying to club them together.”
‘Geli Ekvees Varsha’ is a combined effort of the entire team and each and everyones thought process is reflected in this presentation. Produced by Natak Company, Pune, this play brings out the innermost emotions in every individual running the rat race of the 21st century.

Siddharth Menon again enthralls the audience by a stunning performance as ‘Raghu’ who ridicules and motivates in an uncanny fashion. The light effects and back drop design of a maze formed by ladders all account to an applaudable presentation by the youth of BMCC, Pune. The use of pun and dark humor sets the course of an unforgettable play targeted to hit the audience right in the nerve where it pinches most
