The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (also known as IIM Calcutta or IIM-C) is a business school located in Kolkata, India. It was the first Indian Institute of Management to be set up. The major regular educational programmes offered by the institute are:-
1. Post Graduate Diploma in Management - Two Years (PGDM)
2. Postgraduate Diploma in Computer aided Management - Two Years (PGDCM)
3. Postgraduate Program for Executives - One Year Full Time (PGPEX)
4. Postgraduate Program for Executives - Visionary Leadership in Manufacturing - One Year Full Time (PGPEX-VLM)
5. Fellow Program in Management (FPM)

6. Program for Armed Forces Officers - Six Months Full Time (AFP)
7. Senior Management Program (SMP) - For 10+ years experienced working executives. Classes conducted through NIIT IMPERIA.

The institute was established in November 1961 in collaboration with the MIT Sloan School of Management, the government of West Bengal, the Ford Foundation and Indian industry and is therefore the first IIM in the country. Its first Director was Mr. K.T.Chandy, the former Chairman of Hindustan Lever. During its initial years, several prominent faculty formed part of its nucleus, including Paul Samuelson, Jagdish Sheth, J. K. Sengupta, Peter S. King, and Thomas Hill among others.
