Dell Launches Vostro V13 Ultra-slim Robust Laptop in India

Dell has launched in India its new Dell Vostro V13 laptop is powered by Ultra Low Voltage Intel Core 2 Solo Processor SU3500 and it sports 13.3-inch Widescreen WXGA TFT display and it combines robust design and ultra-alight mobility.

Weighing about 1.59 kgs (with battery) and only 0.65 inches thick, the new Dell Vostro V13 laptop is powered by Ultra Low Power 1.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Solo Processor SU3500 with 3MB L2 Cache, 1066 MHz FSB, Mobile Intel GS45 + ICH9M Express chipset mainboard , 2-GB DDR3 SDRAM (1066 MHz) (Maximum 4-GB in a single slot) and 320-GB SATA 7200 rpm hard disk drive. There is provision for installing an integrated UMTS module and option for connecting DVD burner externally in USB port.

Ultra-low-voltage Intel CPU helps this laptop to manage energy efficiency while providing ample power for everyday computing.

Made with brushed aluminum casing with high-quality reinforced zinc hinges offering true durability, the new Dell Vostro series of laptop, which means “yours” in Latin, offers enhanced durability with magnesium-alloy chassis, sealed keyboards and StrikeZone hard drives.

Only 0.65 inches (16.5 mm) thick, new Dell Vostro V13 ultra-slim laptop sports 13.3 inch (33.7 cm) Widescreen WXGA LED Backlit TFT Display with TrueLife technology allowing maximum screen resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels powered by Intel Graphics Media Accelerator GMA 4500MHD graphics chipset with upto 512 MB shared video RAM. Dell’s TrueLife display technology allows higher contrast ratio than standard anti-glare displays for brighter images.

The Dell Vostro V13 ultra-slim laptop comes with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Basic preinstalled and it offers Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG 802.11a/g Wi-Fi Mini-card for wireless networking and Dell Wireless 360 Bluetooth v2.1 Module Internal (2.1 + Enhanced Data Rate) for wireless bluetooth connection.

Thin and lightweight Dell Vostro V13 laptop also features integrated 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet LAN controller, 1x USB 2.0 4-pin ports + 1x eSATA/USB combo port, IEEE 1394 4-pin port, VGA video output & S-Video, integrated stereo speakers and 56K V.92 External USB Modem (Optional).

The Dell Vostro V13 laptop also also offers (optional) integrated 5-in-1 memory card reader, which can read SD, xD, MMC, SDIO, Memory Stick memory cards.

Dell Vostro V13 ultra-slim laptop also offers optional Biometric fingerprint reader and Optional Trusted Platform Module 1.2 with Infineon TPM management Security Software for enhanced security.

Dell Vostro V13 comes with 65 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery which provides up to 3 to 3.5 hours of battery life with full charge. Unfortunately, the ultra-slim laptop design does not offer choice for battery replacement.
