A.P, Inter, SSC students may get grace marks in 2010 exams

Is it good to students????mark

The Andhra Pradesh state government is contemplating awarding 10 to 15 “grace marks” to students appearing for SSC and Intermediate public exams as a sort of compensation for disruptions in the academic year. Government may announce the decision only after these exams are over in April lest the students may take the exams complacently. Government started to think a proposal following reports from education officials from all districts that results in government schools and junior colleges would be poor due to disturbances in the academic schedule caused the recent Telangana agitation and now the stir for a united Andhra Pradesh. Normally, the government awards grace marks to students if there are errors in question papers. Last year, Intermediate students got eight grace marks because of errors in question papers. It also awarded 10 grace marks in Eamcet-2008 and three marks in Eamcet-2009 for goof-ups in question papers. This year, there were many occasions on which schools and colleges had to be closed.
